Police in California say a woman survived a 40-mile ride clinging to the hood of a minivan driven by her husband after the two got into an argument. Authorities said that the husband is being held at the San Joaquin County Jail on a charge of attempted murder. Police say he drove off Saturday in the family's minivan with his wife clinging to the windshield wiper and side mirror. She had attempted to stop him from leaving. Police spokesman Rex Osborn says she jumped on the hood, "and that's when her adventure started." Authorities say the husband sped through Manteca, got on a freeway and didn't pull over until he reached Pleasanton, more than 40 miles away. The woman, whose name wasn't released, suffered hypothermia.
hey give the guy some credit, he never slammed on the BRAKES and he never pulled the Hood release. - Mike Stigs
